The Core Responsibilities For The Job Include The Following

Technical Leadership and Framework Architecture:

Design, architect, and evolve automation frameworks across backend, web, and distributed systems.
Lead POCs for new tools, frameworks, and processes across Automation, API Testing, Performance Testing, and Quality Engineering.
Drive standardization of automation patterns, coding best practices, and review mechanisms across engineering squads.
Build scalable and maintainable test suites deeply integrated with product architecture and CI/CD pipelines.

Quality Strategy And Execution

Own the quality strategy for features, releases, and entire product domains.
Define comprehensive test plans covering: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Performance Testing, Reliability Testing.
Create and maintain KPI dashboards for quality and performance metrics.
Ensure optimal automation coverage with the right balance of depth, reliability, and maintenance cost.

Operational Excellence

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation frameworks.
Ensure reliable automation execution in cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
Lead incident analysis and improve observability, monitoring, and debugging workflows.
Influence engineering and product decisions through a strong quality-first mindset.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Product, Engineering, CQA, and AI/ML teams to deliver high-quality and predictable releases.
Translate complex product workflows and AI behavior into testable hypotheses and validation strategies.
Effectively communicate risks, trade-offs, and technical decisions to both engineering teams and leadership stakeholders.

Leadership And Mentorship

Lead test engineering initiatives across multiple squads.
Mentor SDETs and developers on automation best practices, testing philosophy, and design for testability.
Drive technical reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and engineering-wide quality improvements.
Represent Arintra externally through tech talks, blogs, meetups, and community engagement (optional but highly valued).

Requirements

9+ years of overall experience.
7+ years of hands-on Automation Testing experience across Backend and Web applications.
Programming and Automation: Strong proficiency in Java. Experience with one or more additional programming languages. Deep expertise in building and scaling automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, Appium, Custom Automation Frameworks.
API and System Testing: Strong experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, GraphQL, and Equivalent frameworks.
Cloud and Distributed Systems: Experience working in distributed environments on AWS, GCP.
Messaging and Build Systems: Hands-on experience with the following: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Other messaging systems. Strong knowledge of Maven and Gradle.
Core Engineering Fundamentals: Strong understanding of: Data Structures and Algorithms, Design Patterns, Software Engineering Principles, Computer Science Fundamentals.
Ownership and Leadership: Proven track record of driving automation architecture and independently owning quality strategy for large-scale systems.
