Staff Python Engineer (Apache Ecosystem) at BairesDev We are seeking a Staff Python Engineer with expertise in Apache project contribution, data processing, automation, and big data ecosystem integration. The technology stack includes popular open source Apache projects with Python integration - Spark, Kafka, and related ecosystem tools. Thus, there is ample scope for collaboration and contribution to open source. The ideal candidate will lead the design and optimization of high-performance data processing systems, contribute as a core contributor to Apache projects, provide technical guidance to engineering teams, and drive innovation in big data and AI/ML solutions. What You'll Do: - Contribute actively as a core contributor to Apache open source projects with Python components. - Lead the development and optimization of Python-based data processing systems for large-scale analytics. - Define and implement automation frameworks for big data ecosystem integration and workflows. - Guide the design of AI/ML integration solutions with Apache stack technologies. - Architect scalable data processing frameworks using Python for high-throughput applications. - Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineering teams on system integration and deployment. What we are looking for: - 10+ years of experience in software development with strong Python expertise. - Proven experience as a core contributor and technical leader in Apache open source projects. - Strong expertise with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing. - Deep understanding of automation techniques for distributed data systems. - Proficiency in AI/ML integration with Apache stack technologies. - Experience providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering collaboration across teams. - Advanced level of English.
