  • This position is with an Infrastructure Management team. The chosen candidate will have primary responsibilities across both Windows and Linux systems and applications, with overall functionality of the environment being a shared responsibility across all members of the infrastructure team. The environment is not static, and duties assigned will change as the environment grows or evolves; all team members are expected to be flexible in both skills and schedule. The infrastructure team manages, maintains, and supports an isolated environment which facilitates delivery of several Appliance Management and Systems Management Services to customers. This position requires significant hands-on experience with Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, systems management, and security configurations, as well as strong working knowledge of Linux-based systems in production environments. The candidate will be responsible for building, configuring, optimizing, patching, maintaining, and securing both Windows and Linux systems. This includes applying security fixes and remediation plans, documenting procedures, diagramming systems, responding to alerts and incidents through the ticketing system, and maintaining proper configuration and operational records. On the Windows side, the role includes administration and support of technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange, and SharePoint. On the Linux side, the role includes administration of enterprise Linux distributions (such as Red Hat, Rocky, or Ubuntu), managing system services, performance tuning, patching, log analysis, storage and filesystem management, and supporting applications hosted on Linux platforms. In addition, the candidate will be required to learn and support applications running on both Windows and Linux systems in order to maintain operational stability. Current applications include SolarWinds Orion, Password Manager Pro, AD Manager, and AD Audit, as well as Linux-hosted services supporting monitoring, automation, or infrastructure tooling.

Critical Skills/Qualifications

  • Advanced Windows Server administration skills with certification and 5+ years of experience, or 10+ years of equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Strong Linux system administration experience, including command-line troubleshooting, service management, patching, and security hardening in production environments.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL (including clustered environments), Exchange email systems, or SharePoint.
  • Solid troubleshooting, documentation, and operational support skills across mixed OS environments.
  • Language Skills – fluent in spoken and written English.

Bonus:

  • Experience administering mixed Windows and Linux enterprise environments.
  • Experience with email systems, monitoring platforms, or infrastructure management tools.
  • Experience with security remediation, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
  • Familiarity with automation or scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
