About This Role:

Reporting into the accounting manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of activities concentrating mainly on the administration of Forrester EMEA entities, as well as supporting projects on the finance team.

This individual will work as part of the European finance team to maintain high quality and accurate reporting and to drive projects focusing on efficiency and process improvements.

Job Description:

• Administer the month-end and quarter-end close in accordance with GAAP, including reconciliation of all general ledger accounts for selected EMEA entities.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, bank reconciliation, other balance sheet account specifications, and intercompany transactions.
• Liaise with the payroll team regarding the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
• Liaise and manage relationships with local accounting firms to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Recommend and implement improvements to further automate close processes.
• Complete the VAT returns and any wage tax returns for the entities.
• Generate analyses of significant accounts and perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Attend to the requirements of statutory auditors and assist with tax filings.
• Assist the team with finance projects.
• Other duties as necessary.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Studying toward accounting qualification, part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or local equivalent.
• At least some years of work experience in a finance team in a similar role.
• Proven analytical skills and solid business experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills are essential.
• Must be able to work well independently as well as in a team.
• Good working knowledge of financial applications and Microsoft Excel.
• Someone who is organized and flexible, self-motivated, and has strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with Peoplesoft, Concur, or Floqast is a plus.
