TCS is currently hiring for the position of SSIS Developer . - **Role:** SSIS Developer - **Desired Experience Range:** 6 to 8 years - **Location:** Banglore,Chennai, Pune,Hyderbad Role Summary We are seeking an experienced SSIS Developer to design, build, and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The role involves developing robust data pipelines, optimizing performance, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable analytics and reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Build reusable components (connections, configurations, templates) and enforce naming conventions. Integrate data from diverse sources (SQL Server, flat files, Excel, APIs, cloud storage). Implement robust error handling, logging, checkpointing, and retry strategies. Schedule and monitor ETL jobs via SQL Server Agent; triage failures and remediate root causes. Optimize SSIS packages and underlying SQL (indexes, partitioning, query tuning) for performance and scalability. Collaborate with DBAs, Data Engineers, Analysts, and Product/Business teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions. Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation; document data flows and lineage. Maintain version control (e.g., Git/Azure DevOps), peer reviews, and release notes. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with SSIS (packages, data flow tasks, control flow, parameters, variables). Strong T-SQL skills: stored procedures, functions, views, window functions, and query optimization. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL, ELT, dimensional modeling, SCD). Experience with SQL Server Agent scheduling and monitoring. Proficiency in handling large datasets, performance tuning, and memory/CPU optimization in SSIS. Familiarity with source control (Git, Azure DevOps/TFS) and branching/merging strategies. Experience with data quality, cleansing, validation rules, and exception handling. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience with SSRS/Power BI and SSAS Tabular or Multidimensional models. CI/CD for data pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code basics. Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and file-based ingestion patterns.
