SRE, Observability Engineer – Contract Position

Role Description

We are seeking an Observability Engineer for a contract-based remote position. The primary responsibilities of this role include designing, implementing, and managing observability frameworks and solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key metrics, install monitoring tools, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues in both development and production environments. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver insights that optimize system operations.

Required Skills & Expertise: Hands-on experience with enterprise observability and monitoring platforms, including:

Must Have 

Centreon

Grafana

OpenSearch / ELK Stack

Good to have

• Strong understanding of infrastructure, application, and network monitoring
• Experience creating and managing dashboards, alerts, and log analytics solutions
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis in production environments
• Good working knowledge of Linux administration and scripting
• Solid understanding of observability principles, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
