Sr Test Automation engineer (Tool Developer-Python, Java)

Job Description

What's the role? As a Sr. Test Automation/Tools Engineer in HERE Professional Services - Global Solution Engineering, you will be responsible to design, implement and document Automated Solutions for Inter-Tool communication between HERE Customers and Internal HERE Teams and will be responsible to design, implement and document test automation suites for customer projects in various industries, including Automotive, Transports and Logistics. Key Responsibilities Test Automation Development/Tools Development and Execution: Demonstrate expertise in designing and developing automated tests, including Integration Tests, Acceptance Tests, and Performance Tests. Map requirements, understand user acceptance criteria, and convert user stories into tangible test cases. Plan, create, and manage test cases, test suites. Efficiently troubleshoot, debug, and resolve code-related errors for major enhancements and minor change requests. Serve as a technical point of contact for the test automation domain. Developing and maintaining Python applications using JIRA REST API to set up synchronization between two JIRA Systems or Fault Reporting Tools. Automated solutions development and testing. Work in conjunction with various Project Stakeholders to understand the requirement and implement an automated JIRA Sync solution Perform Linux installation/configurations. Single point of contact for the automated solution that is developed and supports in debugging of any issues encountered by the stakeholders. Communicate complex technical solutions clearly to program stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical individuals. Who are you? Bachelor?s degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field Experience in Software Development. Atleast 4+ years of experience in the Python, JAVA/Java-related programming language (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven). Good working knowledge of SQL (Postgres / MySQL ) Strong understanding and knowledge of the Atlassian JIRA System Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, AWS, Gitlab etc.) Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations Capability to make small and big decisions on your own after consulting with stakeholders and considering the relevant constraints. Curiosity to keep Up to date on the latest technologies in the Python/Automation domain. Analytical approach and problem-solving skills. Excellent collaborative skills , spoken English and experience in multi cultural and multi-site working environment is a big plus The following knowledge would add extra value to your contribution in our team: Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS Desired testing certifications viz. ISTQB, CSTE, CP-BAT, CP-MAT, CP-SAT etc. Experience in working with embedded and/or automotive hardware test environments Testing of safety critical equipments. HERE is an equal opportunity employer.
