Job Description We are looking for an experienced Devops Engineer in Intelligence Exchange Operations team. This team is responsible for the implementation, and support of the IX platform and other application which uses the platform. You will be responsible for migrating the application to cloud (AWS/GCP) involving automation of multiple deployments using Terraform/Cloudformation for IAC. You'll participate in the implementation of new infrastructure (distributed, scalable, and robust) and develop features to make it observable and configurable on-demand. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Customer teams, Cloud Architects, Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Note: This position is based in Bangalore, India, but follows Central Daylight Time (CDT) working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT (equivalent to 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST). The candidate is also expected to participate in an on-call rotation at least once a month , covering 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM CDT , including weekends Duties & Responsibilities An individual with a deep passion for innovation and performance, to work in the DevOps/SRE team Evaluate cloud services and architecture to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Lead the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews to ensure design best practices Work with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC automation, configuration management, and release management Implement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD) Implement effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management Responsible for setting up and creating GCP deployments, administration, Operations, and maintenance Establish or follow prioritization processes to drive work with a sense of urgency about getting work completed Consult with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes Have on-call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team Should be able to drive root cause analysis for production issues and continually evaluate and improve our processes and application standards Preferred Skills Hands-on expertise in Cloud platform, managing cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform - GCP) & (Amazon Web Services - AWS) Experience with templating frameworks like Terraform, CloudFormation Understanding of DNS/Firewalls/Load balancing and network design Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure as a Service Automation tools like Cloud Formation Ability to understand AWS compute, Route53, VPC, RDS, Load balancing Strong experience with Red Hat Linux; must feel comfortable with scripting in bash, python Experience in DevOps support for applications using Java, Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, Linux Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven, Ansible, Jenkins, Git Experience with complex, high-availability systems, and Capacity Planning and Change Management Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, strong organizational skills Experience with middleware messaging technology such as IBM MQ desired Good written and oral communication skills Preferred Experience 5+ years of DevOps experience in a Linux environment 3+ years of experience with either GCP or AWS Experience writing code in Java, Go, Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby or a similar language.
