Virbhu India Pvt Ltd ? Vadodara (Gujarat), a wholly owned subsidiary of AK-LLC (USA), operating in the field of power electronics , has as an immediate opening for a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer . The position will be involved in new product development supporting the design and launch of next generation of cutting-edge products. The position is responsible for recruiting and building high-performance Power Electronics conversion vendors and professionals. The position will be a manager responsible for the design and development of next generation power conversion technology for Electrical Vehicle (EV) Charging and Renewable (Solar and Battery Electric Storage) Markets. Responsibilities : Responsible for power converter hardware design, topology trade-off studies, and prototyping. Conduct modelling and simulation of power converters to speed up design cycles. Know power electronics technology including identification and adoption of latest power semiconductor and control trends. Support faster turn-around from concept through prototyping and develop a plan to support milestones and requirements for the growth initiatives. Understand testing infrastructure required to support solid state electronics power conversion devices. Perform Design and testing of AC-DC, DC-DC and DC-AC Power converters. Coordinate with PCB design engineer and guide for PCB layout Simulation of Power Electronics topologies using MATLAB, PLECS, PSIM, LTSpice. Design Calculations & Product design documentation. Preparation of Test plan for Power Converters. Design for EMI EMC Qualifications BE Electronics or closely related field. MS or PhD would be a plus. Must have 8-10 years of experience with inverter or power electronics design. Strong background in power electronics and control Demonstrated experience in hardware development of solar/storage power converters. Versatility with various modelling and simulation tools ? MATLAB, Python, PLECS, etc Deep knowledge on various modulation control schemes for single phase and three phase power converter topologies including multilevel inverters and LLC resonant converters. Experienced in testing to debug system problems. Experienced with phase gate and agile design processes. Excellent knowledge in magnetics design and powertrain design for inverters and DC-DC converters will be added advantage. Well versed in EMI/EMC mitigation and test strategies Basic knowledge of solar/storage codes and standards (UL1741SA, CA Rule 21, NEM 2.0, IEEE 1547-2018) Excellent documentation skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities.
