Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Planning & Procurement
Own procurement of raw materials, bought-out parts, and services
Define and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
Lead supplier negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements
Drive cost reduction through localization, alternate sourcing, and VA/VE
Inventory & Warehouse Management
Maintain optimum inventory levels and working capital control
Oversee stores, inbound material flow, and warehouse operations
Implement inventory controls, cycle counts, and audit readiness
Production & Demand Alignment
Align material planning with production schedules
Proactively manage shortages, constraints, and escalations
Support new product launches and engineering changes
Logistics & Vendor Management
Manage inbound and outbound logistics and transport partners
Monitor OTIF, logistics cost, and service-level performance
Conduct supplier performance reviews and corrective actions
Compliance, Quality & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with SCM policies, statutory, and audit requirements
Coordinate with Quality on supplier quality issues and improvements
Identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans
Team Leadership & Process Excellence
Lead and develop SCM team (planning, procurement, stores, logistics)
Drive Lean, digitization, and continuous improvement initiatives
Define, track, and review SCM KPIs with plant leadership

Qualification &Experience

BE/BTech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial preferred)
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations (preferred)
15+ years of SCM experience in manufacturing / plant environment
3–5 years in a plant-level SCM leadership role
Hands-on ERP experience (SAP preferred)
