The Role: We are establishing a new Test Automation team in Chennai to strengthen the validation and quality assurance of our consumer electronics products. We are looking for an experienced Python Test Automation Engineer who will drive the deployment, improvement, and maintenance of our test benches and automation frameworks. This senior role is designed for an engineer with both technical depth and leadership potential, who can take ownership of solutions while mentoring and supporting the future team. Your Contribution: In this role you will: Lead and contribute to the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Python-based Test Frameworks. Program/debug/troubleshoot in Python and C, ensuring reliable automation tools. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code using best practices (pytest, unittest, etc.). Develop OS-specific test tools and implement end-to-end system test automation. Integrate AI-based solutions into test automation when relevant. Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of the Chennai team. Key Qualifications: For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team: 5+ years of Python development experience, with at least 3+ years in embedded systems testing and test frameworks. Strong programming/debugging skills in Python and C. Hands-on experience in embedded software validation and consumer electronics product validation. Excellent debugging skills across application, firmware, and hardware layers. Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, USB analysers, power supplies, voltmeters, etc. Experience with sensors, motors, actuators, and hardware components. Experience in communication protocols (UART, SPI, I?C, USB, Bluetooth, Ethernet). Proficiency in device wrapper development and hardware interface APIs in Python. Experience with multi-threaded/multi-process development and client-server communications (gRPC/REST). Familiarity with AI technologies applied to testing. Knowledge of electronics engineering fundamentals. ISTQB or equivalent certification Education : Bachelor?s degree in Engineering (ECE or related discipline) required Across Logitech we empower collaboration and foster play.
