Job Description
- Qualify new Procedure Qualification Record as per ASME Sec. IX, PD5500, EN 15614-1, IBR standards, Client specification etc.
- To prepare WPS, PQR & weld plan as per the job requirement & get the approval of the documents from client / TPI and make available to Manufacturing.
- Welder / Welding Operator performance qualification, documentation & certification.
- Welder training – by providing welding and material technical support and guidance.
- Carry out weld defect analysis and prepare CAPA.
- Carry out welding consumables estimation as per drawing & specification and raise indent for the same.
- Prepare Technical Purchase Specification for all welding consumables.
- Carry out incoming inspection of welding consumables as per code & TPS.
- Responsible for Intergranular Corrosion Testing, Chemical Analysis, Microstructure examination of welding along with compilation of reports.
- Carry out spot check of welding to verify compliance of Welding Procedure Specification.
- Calibration of all welding related instruments, which are used in plant.
