Position Summary

The Engineer – Substation (Electrical) will be responsible for execution, installation, testing, and commissioning support of EHV substation equipment and systems across project sites in Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand, read and explaining the electrical design, layout drawing.
  
• Supervision of erection activities and installation of transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CT/PT, and panels
  
• Understand and read cable schedule and execution of cable laying, termination, and testing activities
  
• Ensure compliance with approved SLDs, layout drawings, and project specifications
  
• Coordinate with civil teams for foundation readiness and equipment placement
  
• Support testing and commissioning activities
  
• Maintain quality and safety standards at site
  
• Prepare progress and inspection reports
  
  

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  
• 4–8 years of experience in 132kV / 220kV / 400kV substations
  
• Experience in erection, testing, and commissioning of switch yard equipment
  
  

Technical Competencies

• Ability to interpret SLDs and electrical drawings
  
• Knowledge of protection and control systems
  
• Familiarity with EHV switch yard equipment
  
• Understanding of safety and quality standards
