About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Design & Manufacturing departments at our state-of-the-art facility located in Diamond Industrial Park, Sachin, Surat. This pivotal role involves leading the design team, developing detailed machine drafts, and ensuring the seamless integration of manufacturing and engineering processes. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical engineering, with significant hands-on experience in designing industrial machinery, preferably within textile or related capital equipment sectors. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our expansion initiatives by driving standardization, modularization, and continuous improvement across our product lines. The Senior Design Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative machinery solutions that meet industry standards and client expectations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution. They must have between 8 to 15 years of proven experience in machine building, capital equipment manufacturing, or industrial machinery design. Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring engineering/design teams is essential. Proficiency in SolidWorks is mandatory, including expertise in 3D modeling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOM generation. A strong understanding of manufacturing drawings, BOM management, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and engineering change management is required. The candidate should possess a hands-on approach, with excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate effective communication and leadership abilities. Prior experience in industries such as textile machinery, packaging machinery, pharmaceutical machinery, food processing machinery, or industrial capital equipment will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
Pooja Enterprises offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, ranging from INR 50,000 to 80,000 per month. - Lead, mentor, and motivate the design team to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Create precise machine drafts and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for ongoing projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Issue detailed draftings in a timely manner to support manufacturing, procurement, and production departments, serving as a backbone for seamless operations.
- Drive standardization and modularization across various machine platforms to enhance efficiency and reduce manufacturing complexity.
- Develop, review, and maintain manufacturing drawings and BOMs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability, streamline processes, and enhance product quality.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, revision control practices, and change management procedures to maintain consistency and traceability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and management to ensure project milestones are met and operational goals are achieved.
- Contribute to the scaling of manufacturing operations, supporting the company's expansion plans with innovative engineering solutions.
