Sr. Data Engineer - Associate

Job Description

Our client is seeking a data engineer to lead the rollout of centralized data warehousing and business intelligence. Reporting to the Director of Business Systems, the Data Engineer will serve as the functional lead on the post-implementation buildout of Snowflake, along with associated data pipelines and business intelligence software. This individual will collaborate with finance, operations, and originations to understand the critical data elements involved in the business, and will work with the Business Systems team?to translate requirements into workable solutions. ? Responsibilities ??????????????Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Workato. ??????????????Design and optimize data models and schemas. ??????????????Configure and manage role-based access control guidelines for company user base. ??????????????Integrate data from various sources (APIs, databases, flat files). ??????????????Monitor and improve data pipeline performance and reliability. ??????????????Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs. ??????????????Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports. ??????????????Perform data modeling and calculations. ??????????????Collaborate with business systems team to ensure data availability and quality. ?????????????????????Translate business requirements into visual analytics. ?????????????????????Experience in financial services strongly preferred. ?????????????????????Strong communication and task management skills are a must. Requirements ??????????????5+ years of data engineering experience with data warehouse products, preferably Snowflake. ?????????????????Strong knowledge of Snowflake consumption and storage optimization. ????????????????3+ years of experience with BI tools, preferably Sigma. ?????????????Strong SQL and Python skills. ?????????????Experience with ETL, ELT, iPaaS is a must. ?????????????????Strong understanding of data governance best practices. ?????????????????Strong understanding of internal controls from a business perspective and how they could be applied to data infrastructure. ??????????????Experience with business systems and data formats (JSON, XML, etc.) ??????????????Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
