The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This Role In Summary

Support Plastic Part Design and development with the help of Autodesk Moldflow Injection Molding Simulation.

Technical Expertise

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proficient in Injection Molding Simulation(Cool+Fill+Pack+Warp in MP, DD & 3D mesh) using Autodesk Moldflow s/w.
• Master in meshing of plastic components and Mold Cooling systems using Altair-Hypermesh and Moldflow.
  
  

Required Technical Experience

• Should have good knowledge of Injection Molding Process.
• Should have good knowledge of Mold Design Concepts.
• Should have good knowledge of Polymer Materials rheology and Thermodynamics
• Should have experience in Plastic Part and Mold Development Process.
• Should have experience of resolving injection molding problems like weld lines,sink marks,warpage using simulation.
• Strong Results interpretation and communication skills.
• Autodesk Moldflow Associate(Bronze) certification would be desirable.
• Should have Basic idea about Design of Experiments,A3 thinking and Robust Product Design Concepts.
  
  

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Education: M.E / M.Tech / MS Polymer/Production/Mechanical/Tooling Engineering

Experience: 3 to 6 Years

Responsibilities

• Support Plastic Part Design and development with the help of Autodesk Moldflow Injection Molding Simulation.
• Design For Tooling Feasibility(DFM) & Part Design Optimization
• Molding Window and Gate Location analysis
• Mold Filling analysis during the Design Phase-Fill+Pack +Warp
• Mold Filling analysis during Tooling Phase-Cool+Fill+Pack +Warp
• Perform plastic part design and molding process optimization using simulation and optimization techniques like Design of Experiments.
• Calibrate numerical model based on experimental data and generate correlation.
• Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with Global Counterparts i.e design team, materials team,toolmaker and injection molding team to gather inputs as well as share results.
• Proactive knowledge documentation and sharing.
