Job Overview
The Senior Accountant serves as the Close & Compliance Lead, overseeing the integrity of financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries. This role focuses on the ownership and review of high-risk accounts, complex revenue streams (Amazon/Subscription), and ensuring global tax and regulatory compliance.

Job Overview
The Senior Accountant serves as the Close & Compliance Lead, overseeing the integrity of financial reporting across multiple subsidiaries. This role focuses on the ownership and review of high-risk accounts, complex revenue streams (Amazon/Subscription), and ensuring global tax and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Close & Review: Act as the lead for the month-end close process; maintain monthly close calendar and ensure tasks are performed accordingly.
- Mentoring & Leadership: Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations performed by the Staff Accountant.
- Tax & Compliance: Manage sales tax filings, subscription tax calculations; Prepare tax data packages for PwC; Manage Gross Receipts tax filings.
- Revenue Accounting: Reconcile Amazon Seller Central settlements and Subscription revenue; record adjusting entries and resolve Amazon ERP tickets.
- Reconciliation: Analyze and reconcile product revenue, subscription revenue accounts; and other complex balance sheet accounts as assigned.
- Intercompany & Equity: Complete complex intercompany reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries with foreign currencies; manage owner distribution accounting.
- Compliance Reporting: and FBAR compliance reporting, state registrations, and license tracking.
- Audit Support: Provide supporting documentation and schedules for external and internal audits as requested by the Assistant Controller.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement internal controls/SOPs.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the Financial Reporting Package and month-over-month variance analysis.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or candidate preferred).
- 5–7+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Full cycle close experience.
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central and Stripe subscription revenue is highly preferred.
- NetSuite experience is required.
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and lead month-end close cycles.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
