Project Description:

We're looking for administration and support operations across on-premises and cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP). The role involves production support, performance tuning, high availability configuration, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Monitor reports, alerts, SQL Server jobs, disk usage, service status, and logs.
Handle tickets related to database performance, access requests, failures, and configuration issues.
Create logins, assign permissions, manage orphaned users, and ensure consistent security policies.
Perform database refreshes across environments (Prod/Dev/QA).
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot high-availability setups.
Analyze blocking/deadlocks and optimize slow-running queries.
Develop custom monitoring scripts for fragmentation, statistics, growth trends, and performance metrics.
Support daily standups, weekly team meetings, and cross-team coordination.

Mandatory Skills Description:

5+ years of hands-on SQL Server administration and production support experience.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server installation, service packs, upgrades, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and HA/DR.
Proficient in T-SQL, DDL, and DML, PowerShell, Python.
Exposure to ETL and reporting tools.
Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow and familiarity with ITIL processes.
Exposure to other DBMS platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2) is a plus.
Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP database environments.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
