SQA Engineer ( SATCOM & Embedded)

Job Description

We are hiring for our client in defense and Aerospace industry for Sr. SQA Engineer for Hyderabad location who has 3-5 years of experience in embedded software QA, preferably in satellite or telecom domains. The candidate must have experience in RTOS, embedded C/C++, microcontroller platforms, and hardware-software integration. Sr Engineer ? SQA (Embedded / SATCOM) Qualification: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in ECE/CSE Experience: 3- 5 Years Location: Hyderabad Skills Required: SATCOM, Embedded, DO-178C, DO-254, RTOS, CMMI L3+, Python and Shell scripting. Define and own the test strategy, planning, and execution for embedded software and firmware components across satellite communication systems. Provide technical leadership to a team of QA engineers working on modem software, SDRs, control units, and embedded RF devices. Review and improve QA processes to align with industry standards and project requirements ( DO-178C, DO 254, ISO 12207 , etc.). Collaborate with development, systems, and integration teams during the software development lifecycle to ensure full test coverage. Test Development & Execution Lead the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and test automation for embedded systems involving: Real-Time Operating Systems ( RTOS ) Satellite communication protocols ( ALOHA, TDMA ) Networking (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP) Defect Management & Debugging Oversee issue triaging, root cause analysis, and Support development teams by providing logs, traces, and diagnostics from embedded platforms. Compliance & Reporting Ensure testing activities meet documentation, traceability, and regulatory requirements for defense and space-qualified systems. Generate and present test reports, traceability matrices, and quality metrics to internal and customer stakeholders. Support internal and external audits, including those by defense agencies or certification bodies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering. Strong knowledge of RTOS, embedded C/C++, microcontroller platforms, and hardware-software integration. Experience with RF systems, signal processing, and communication protocols used in satellite communications. Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and use of tools like JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in projects involving defense-grade or space-qualified systems. Familiarity with standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, IEEE-12207, CMMI Level 5 etc. Understanding of digital modulation/demodulation, RF link budgets, and satellite modem architectures.
