Hiring For: Sports Content Specialist

We are on the hunt for a ‘Content Creator (Social Media)’, one who eats lives and breathes viral Reels, trending tweets & the latest Shorts. Who knows how to sway a brand’s audience. And who has preferably prior agency experience.

Responsibilities:

· Write, edit, and proofread sports-related articles, features, and opinion pieces with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Stay updated with the latest sports news, trends, and developments to create timely and relevant content.

· Produce a mix of long-form articles, short blog posts, news reports, and in-depth analysis across a wide range of sports.

· Collaborate with editors, content strategists, and SEO teams to develop content that drives traffic and engagement.

· Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s tone, voice, and style guidelines.

· Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure content accuracy.

· Mentor and guide junior writers to maintain high editorial standards within the team.

· Use analytics tools to assess content performance and adjust strategies to increase engagement and reach.

· Accessible and available for clients and team needs, with the ability to work flexible hours and shifts when required

· Long-term Account Planning and large campaign management

· Presentation of ideas, campaigns and calendars to stakeholders

· Growth strategies and collaboration opportunities

Coordination & execution & posting:

· Coordinating with the designers & editors to turn your wittingly-written copies into aesthetically pleasing posts.

· Ability to select appealing images and videos to complement the text (added bonus.)

· Editing and publishing the content created on various social platforms, primarily Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter.

Implementing Feedback:

· Optimizing the monthly calendar based on analytics, and audience behavior.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in any stream.
• 3+ years of professional content writing experience.
• Strong knowledge of various sports, athletes, and major sports events, leagues, and tournaments.
• Ability to write compelling headlines and engaging copy that drives readership.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong editing and proof reading skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as Word Press.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with sports analytics and data-driven storytelling.
• Experience writing for both digital and print platforms.
• Knowledge of social media trends and sports content marketing strategies.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
