Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated DBT Developer to join our data engineering team. The primary mission will be to lead the migration of existing data pipelines from Talend for Big Data to DBT Core on Snowflake, within an Azure cloud environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data transformation pipelines that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Migrate and refactor existing Talend Big Data pipelines to DBT Core on Snowflake Design and implement scalable data models and transformation pipelines using DBT Develop and optimize SQL-based transformations on Snowflake Integrate DBT workflows within Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake) Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs Ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across all pipelines Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows in production Contribute to CI/CD practices for DBT projects Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) in a production environment Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services (especially Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse) Experience in data pipeline migration projects Understanding of data modeling principles (star/snowflake schema, normalization) Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines Nice to Have: Knowledge of Hadoop and Apache Spark Experience with traditional ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, DataStage) Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) Python scripting for data manipulation or automation Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in a team Good communication and documentation abilities Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments
