We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department.
This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department.
This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
- Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions.
- Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, allied health professionals, and other nursing colleagues to support integrated, patient-centred care.
- Lead or support audits, patient feedback initiatives, and quality improvement programmes related to your specialist area.
- Provide clinical expertise on the treatment of complex wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg ulceration and major reconstruction surgery i.e. DIEP surgery.
- Develop and implement protocols to prevent skin breakdown and pressure ulcers in patients.
- Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration.
- Experience in wound care, typically requiring specialized post-registration training at Level 6 leading to level 7, such as postgraduate certificates in Wound Management.
- Significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area.
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Additional experience supporting plastic and cosmetic surgery would be an advantage.
