Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kozhikode for a South Indian Demi Chef De Partie. The chosen candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality South Indian cuisine, ensuring food presentation meets restaurant standards, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen workspace. Daily tasks include overseeing food preparation, assisting in the training of junior staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, and collaborating with the head chef to plan and develop menu items.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in preparing and cooking South Indian cuisine, including an understanding of traditional ingredients, spices, and techniques
• Skill in food presentation and maintaining high culinary standards
• Knowledge of kitchen management, food safety protocols, and hygiene standards
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing needs
• Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within a five-star or high-ranking hospitality establishment
• A culinary degree or relevant certification is an advantage
