Solutions Architect
Actively Reviewing the ApplicationsValueLabs
Job Description
The Solution Architect will be the technical visionary and strategic leader responsible for designing, guiding, and evangelizing end-to-end solutions for our travel domain clients. This role demands not only deep technical mastery in .NET Core, Azure, Web API, Entity Framework, and modern frontend frameworks, but also proven experience in GDS, NDC, and LCC ecosystems.
You will serve as the primary technical interface between ValueLabs and client stakeholders — representing the team with clarity, confidence, and technical authority. You will lead solution discussions, evaluate multiple architectural approaches, and deliver well-justified recommendations with clear trade-offs.
Key Responsibilities -
Technical Leadership & Solution Design
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of cloud-native travel platforms using Azure, .NET Core, Web API, and microservices.
- Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with NDC (New Distribution Capability), GDS (Global Distribution Systems), and LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) requirements.
- Define and enforce enterprise-grade design patterns, including event-driven architecture, API gateways, service mesh, and resilient data pipelines.
- Champion cloud-first strategies on Microsoft Azure, leveraging services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and Azure DevOps.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing).
Problem Solving & Decision Making
- Evaluate multiple technical approaches for complex scenarios (e.g., real-time fare shopping, itinerary orchestration, dynamic pricing, booking lifecycle).
- Present clear, data-driven trade-off analyses (pros/cons) for each solution — including performance, cost, scalability, maintainability, security, and time-to-market.
- Lead solution workshops and technical reviews with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, DevOps, Product, Client).
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Represent ValueLabs team with professionalism, clarity, and confidence in client meetings, demos, and presentations.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, system diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
- Mentor junior architects and developers in best practices and domain knowledge.
Quality & Innovation
- Advocate for test-driven development (TDD) and robust unit/integration testing using XUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
- Ensure code quality, security, and compliance through static analysis, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in travel tech, cloud architecture, and digital commerce — and drive innovation within the team.
Preferred or Good-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with travel commerce platforms, booking engines, inventory systems, or fare shopping engines
- Knowledge of OpenTravel Alliance (OTA) standards and XML/JSON schema design
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
- Certification in Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305) or AWS/Azure Cloud Practitioner (preferred)
- Public speaking or technical writing experience (blogs, presentations, whitepapers)
