Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The Solar Site Engineer will oversee the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of solar power systems. Responsibilities include supervising on-site activities, ensuring quality control during project execution, and collaborating with team members to optimize project timelines and outcomes. Additionally, maintaining safety standards, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving technical issues will be integral to the role.


Key Responsibilities


  • Site Survey & Planning: Conducting feasibility studies, shadow analysis, and site assessments.
  • Installation Supervision: Overseeing mechanical installation (structures, panels) and electrical works (inverters, cabling, transformers) to ensure adherence to engineering drawings.
  • Quality & Safety Control: Enforcing, strict safety protocols and conducting quality checks on components, including PV modules and balance of system equipment.
  • Project Management & Reporting: Coordinating with contractors, managing material logistics, and submitting progress reports to the head office.
  • Commissioning & Testing: Performing testing, troubleshooting, and CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor) monitoring during the final stages.
  • Documentation: Maintaining project documentation, including test reports and as-built drawings. 


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in on-site and fieldwork operations, including supervision and coordination of installations
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Experience in quality control to ensure compliance with safety measures and project standards
  • Min. 2–3 years of on-site experience in solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to technical challenges in a dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with solar energy systems and industry standards is preferred
