In this role, we are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor our Software Development team, drive technical excellence, and deliver high-quality software solutions. This role involves overseeing end-to-end development, ensuring best software development practices, fostering innovation, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions effectively.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
• Guide architectural decisions and ensure alignment with technical and business strategies.
• Promote best-in-class software engineering practices (Coding strategies, Branching strategies, code quality, code reviews, CI/CD, test automation, performance optimization, etc.,).
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Stakeholders to define Software engineering best practices across the Ecosystem.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Identify risks, remove roadblocks, and ensure smooth execution across all PODs and teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact from software development team on technical discussions and cross-team coordination.
• Build strong partnerships with Product, QA, Development, and other Stakeholders.
• Drive metrics-based decision-making (velocity, defects, performance KPIs, operational metrics) for MORs, Weekly Governance meetings, etc.,

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 14-20 years of experience in software development, including 7-8 years in a leadership or managerial role with proven experience in Software development life cycle.
• Strong technical background in modern application development (e.g., Java, Angular, Cloud or .Net technologies).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies (SAFe is Good to have).

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Experience managing distributed or multi-location teams.
• Background working in enterprise, SaaS, or large-scale applications.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence without authority.
