Software Engineer

Job Purpose/Summary

To design, develop, and maintain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications using ASP.NET MVC, .NET CORE with MCV, C#, .NET Framework/Core, and SQL Server. The role requires strong analytical capability, good coding practices, and the ability to understand manufacturing domain requirements to deliver high-quality, reliable MES solutions.

Key Responsibilities

ü Develop and maintain MES application modules using ASP.NET MVC, .NET CORE with MVC, C#, and .NET Framework / .NET Core.

ü Write efficient and scalable SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects in SQL Server.

ü Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and high-quality code.

ü Participate in unit testing, debugging, and bug fixing to ensure application stability.

ü Collaborate with functional consultants to understand manufacturing workflows and integrate business logic.

ü Support integration with external systems, interfaces, and APIs.

ü Follow coding standards, project processes, and version control practices (Git/TFS).

ü Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical improvements.

ü Provide technical support during QA, UAT, and production releases.

ü Continuously learn MES concepts, development tools, and best practices.

Optional

ü Knowledge in AJAX, Telerik Kendo UI technologies, Angular, Web API

ü Knowledge of application design using design patterns

ü Knowledge of Ionic and Flutter

ü Knowledge on Bootstrap, CSS and Responsive web application development

ü Code quality and adherence to standards (low defect rate, maintainability).

ü Timely completion of development tasks as per sprint or project plan.

ü Accuracy in understanding and implementing functional requirements.

ü Quality of SQL code (performance, optimization, correct data handling).

Qualification

Education

ü BE/BTech in Computer Engineering / IT, MCA, ME (Computer/IT) or equivalent.

Strong academic foundation in object-oriented programming and databases.

Functional Skills/Competencies

üStrong programming skills in C# with good understanding of OOP concepts.

üPractical experience or academic knowledge of ASP.NET MVC development.

üGood understanding of .NET Framework / .NET Core.

ÜStrong Skills In SQL Server Including

• Queries
• Joins
• Stored procedures
• Indexing

üUnderstanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery (added advantage).

üFamiliarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.

üAbility to debug issues and use tools like Postman, SQL Profiler, and Visual Studio.

üUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) or Agile practices.
