Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer to join a team in Belfast, working on a high-scale digital platform that supports millions of bookings and transactions every year.

You’ll work within a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team, taking ownership of features and technical initiatives that directly shape the platform and the customers who rely on it.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, production-grade backend systems and APIs
• Build and enhance services that power web and mobile applications
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions
• Write high-quality code backed by automated testing
• Support platform reliability, performance, security and observability
• Collaborate across Product, QA, DevOps and engineering
• Participate in code reviews and help raise engineering standards

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong backend development skills using modern languages and frameworks
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with cloud-based or distributed environments
• Comfortable writing automated tests and working within CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communicator

Nice to have:

• Experience on high-availability, transaction-based systems
• Payments or financial transaction processing background
• Third-party API integration experience
• Exposure to microservices or event-driven architectures
• Experience modernising legacy systems
• Agile delivery environment experience
