Role : Software Engineer - Intern Duration: 3?6 months (extendable / convertible to full-time) Location : Chennai Stipend : ?10,000 per month About the Role We?re looking for a passionate Software Engineering Intern to join our development team and work on real-world products. You?ll collaborate with engineers and designers to build, test, and deploy scalable web applications. This role offers full-stack exposure with opportunities to learn modern frameworks, API development, DevOps workflows, and agile practices. Key Responsibilities Work with senior developers to design, develop, test, and deploy features. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in JavaScript (Node.js, React, etc.). Assist in developing RESTful APIs and integrating them with frontend applications. Collaborate with UI/UX teams to refine user experience and interface designs. Debug and optimize existing code for performance and scalability. Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions. Learn and contribute to CI/CD, containerization, and version control best practices. Education Qualification Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred). Equivalent practical experience is also considered. Required Skills Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Familiarity with React.js, Node.js, or similar frameworks. Basic knowledge of Git, REST APIs, and JSON. Understanding of frontend?backend integration. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment. Good to Have Experience with TypeScript, Express, or MongoDB/MySQL. Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger). Awareness of Agile/Scrum workflows. Contributions to open-source or personal GitHub projects. Learning Outcomes End-to-end understanding of building scalable web apps. Hands-on experience with a modern tech stack (React, Node, DB). Exposure to professional development workflows, CI/CD, and GitOps.
