What we do

Lucidity is a company that provides an automated NoOps disk auto-scaler for cloud storage across AWS, Azure, and GCP. It addresses over-provisioned block storage by dynamically scaling capacity, increasing disk utilization to around 80% from 25-35%. This results in cost reductions of up to 70% for businesses.

About the Role

We are hiring Software Engineer Interns across two areas:

• Backend Engineering
• Frontend Engineering

You will work closely with our engineering team to build real-world systems, contribute to product development, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced start-up environment. You will be evaluated for one role (Frontend or Backend) based on your application and strengths.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineers to understand product requirements
• Build features from scratch and contribute to live systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Debug, test, and improve existing systems
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews
• Learn and apply engineering best practices

Requirements -

For Frontend Intern:

• Understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Familiarity with React (preferred) or any frontend framework
• Understanding of building responsive UI and consuming APIs

For Backend Intern:

• Strong programming skills in one of: Java, C++, Python, Go
• Understanding of backend systems, APIs, and basic system design concepts
• Interest in distributed systems / scalable systems

Overall:

• Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of fundamentals (DSA, OOPs)
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team

Good to Have

• Internship / project experience
• Git / version control familiarity
• Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Participation in hackathons or open-source
