Job Title: Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Experience Required: 4 to 7 years Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days in office) Joining: Immediate Compensation: ?13?15 LPA We are looking for a Senior SDET to work with an engineering team building microservices and cloud-based applications. The role involves API automation, microservices testing, and developing test frameworks using Java-based tools. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automation test suites for APIs and backend services Build automation frameworks using Java, REST Assured, JUnit, Mockito, and Test Containers Perform functional, integration, and microservices testing Work with distributed systems, including event-driven services with Kafka Participate in test planning, creating test strategies, and improving test coverage Contribute to CI/CD pipeline testing and work with containerized environments Use test management tools for documentation and reporting Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with API automation using REST Assured Good understanding of microservices testing and event-driven architecture Experience with Kafka (producer, consumer, topics, message flow) Proficiency in Java, JUnit, Mockito, and Test Containers Ability to build and maintain automation frameworks Experience in test planning, SDLC, STLC Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or qTest Preferred Experience: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Experience with Docker or Kubernetes Experience with CI/CD tools Understanding of modern web or backend frameworks
