The Team & Role As an Engineer for E-invoicing & Tax at Zuora, you will be at the forefront of global regulatory compliance transformation, building critical infrastructure that enables enterprise customers to navigate the complex landscape of international tax and e-invoicing requirements. This role requires you to work closely with your team to design and deliver scalable solutions that support compliance across 55+ countries with varying regulatory frameworks. You'll help build and run our E-invoicing & Tax ecosystem, working with leading tax content providers, e-invoicing integrations, and complex multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements. The position offers the opportunity to work on products that directly impact millions of transactions and billions in revenue for enterprise customers, while establishing Zuora as the leading platform for global commerce compliance. This is a location specific position that requires you to come into the office regularly to be most effective. Our Tech Stack: Java, Spring, Rest API, Microservices, NodeJS, AWS, Kubernetes What you?ll do Independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of projects or features including engineering design, development, and deployment. Improve code structure and architecture in service of testability and maintainability. Write, co-write, and review technical design documentation. Participate in cross-team design reviews and provide technical oversight to improve execution and system robustness. Your experience 2+ years of experience in software engineering Working knowledge of modern web technologies including cloud-based APIs and protocols (REST, JSON) Understanding of microservices frameworks (Spring Boot or Dropwizard) Experience developing SaaS/enterprise solutions with database and object modeling skills Passion for exploring and experimenting with the latest application development technologies Expert level experience with Java/Spring, data structures and algorithms, building large-scale performance services.
