About The Role

Platform Science is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. In this role, you will be involved in Full Stack Development using React, Node.js, and NoSQL for high-velocity fleet management solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance software. This position requires deep technical knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

You are a member of an agile development team (Scrum methodology assumed) and participate in the planning and execution of work items.

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement scalable, secure, and performant solutions using modern web and backend technologies.
• Design and implement micro-frontend architectures for modular applications and robust authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party services, APIs, and data sources, ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, conducting thorough code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues for optimal application performance and stay current with emerging technologies.
  
  
  

Experience

Required experience

• 3 to 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in full stack development with React.js, Node.js, and API development.
• Proficiency with frontend technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Webpack, Redux (or equivalent state management libraries), and UI frameworks (Material UI, Bootstrap).
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as ElasticSearch, MongoDB, or Firestore.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience in event-driven integration patterns (event-driven microservices communication, pub/sub messaging).
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
