The team owns the One Microsoft PDF stack, delivering high quality PDF experiences. We enable users to consume web content through immersive reading capabilities, translation and read aloud experiences as well as advanced screenshot and editing features among other key innovations. The ideal candidate is skilled at design and implementation, able to own large architectural designs and collaborate well across multiple partner teams.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

• Collaborate across functional and partner teams to define requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects.
• Excellent design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design highly usable, performant, scalable, world-ready, accessible software.
• Ability to create layered, componentized, testable, interface-based designs.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects.
• Experience in Microsoft .NET technologies (C# and .NET Framework) and/or competitive offerings.
• Experience with Windows architecture and internals.
• Experience working on the Chromium project is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale.
• Experience in Data Driven Engineering or Agile Development.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
