To help us along this journey, the Virtual Program Assistant (VPA) team is seeking a qualified FullStack Engineer. VPA is a foundational Program Management infrastructure hub for program management, reporting, and analytics, enabling improved and predictable program performance. It leverages enterprisewide programmanagement applications to compare, compile, and analyze program data, assisting the program manager in optimizing program costs and schedules.

Responsibilities

In this role you will design, develop, and implement endtoend cloud solutions that span data architecture, ETL pipelines, backend services, and modern frontends. You will partner closely with product management, architecture, and qualityassurance teams to define and prioritize requirements and to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Building and supporting fullstack applications—including responsive UI components, robust backend APIs, and welldesigned data stores—while emphasizing clean data models and reusable services.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources (relational, NoSQL, streaming) into cloudbased warehouses, ensuring highquality, governed data for downstream analytics.
• Crafting datacentric microservices and APIs (Node.js, Python, GraphQL/REST) that expose welldocumented contracts, enforce business rules, and enable seamless data exchange across the ecosystem.
• Analyzing system performance and data flow bottlenecks, then applying optimization strategies (caching, partitioning, async processing) to guarantee high availability, reliability, and horizontal scalability.
• Collaborating with product owners to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, delivering MVPs that satisfy schedule, cost, and functional constraints.
• Partnering with internal customers to conceptualize and prototype digitaltechnology solutions that turn data into a strategic asset.
• Participating in code reviews, enforcing coding standards, and contributing to bestpractice documentation for data architecture, ETL design, and fullstack engineering.
  
  

As a fullstack engineer on our team you will have the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and shape our technical strategy and vision. You will be expected to demonstrate deep expertise in data architecture, ETL design, cloudnative backend services, fullstack development, and DevOps practices, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.

Basic Qualifications

• Software development experience within an Agile methodology.
• Experience with React, CSS/HTML, TypeScript for frontend development.
• Strong command of JavaScript/Node.js and Python for backend services.
• Strong Experience with PostgreSQL and designing relational data models.
• Handson experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating APIs for data ingestion and transformation.
• Ability to design and develop APIs that efficiently power intuitive UI components and visualizations.
• Experience working with multiple data sources (databases, data lakes, streaming platforms).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker and Git, and with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
