With a focus on research and development, Turing is committed to pushing the boundaries of AI and machine learning to solve complex real-world problems. Its mission is to empower organizations with intelligent solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and innovation across various industries.
About The Role
We are seeking experienced software engineers at the tech lead level to join our team working on a pioneering project involving large language models (LLMs) and software engineering datasets. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of verifiable software engineering tasks derived from public repository histories, utilizing synthetic approaches with human-in-the-loop methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly with high-quality open-source repositories, and will be instrumental in automating development environments, triaging issues, and evaluating code coverage and quality. This position is perfect for professionals eager to combine practical software engineering expertise with AI research, helping shape the future of AI-assisted software development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of overall experience in software engineering, with a proven track record in JavaScript and TypeScript development. Proficiency with version control systems such as Git, containerization tools like Docker, and experience setting up and automating software pipelines are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to understand and navigate complex codebases, run, modify, and test real-world projects locally, and contribute to open-source initiatives. Experience in AI or LLM research is a plus, along with familiarity with software testing and automation tools. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment are also required.
Responsibilities
Joining Turing offers the flexibility of a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies, gaining valuable experience at the forefront of AI research and software engineering. The company encourages professional growth through collaborative projects, mentorship, and exposure to innovative technologies. Additionally, Turing provides a supportive and inclusive culture that values diversity, creativity, and continuous learning. This role offers competitive compensation based on experience and project scope, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your work preferences.
