Role Description Work as part of the Data Engineering team that is responsible for building a software platform for processing, storing, analyzing and sharing healthcare data. Apply sound engineering principles to solve complex problems. Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to the healthcare domain, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other data protection standards. Build modern data pipelines to process healthcare data that is passed to AI/ML models. Design and implement backend microservices that would become backbone of the data lake. Leverage and apply unit testing techniques, wherever required. Demonstrate skill in time management and completing software projects with excellent quality. Be a team player. Skill Requirements PRIMARY SKILLS (MUST HAVE SKILLS) Strong programming skills preferably in Python. Prior experience working in the healthcare domain with knowledge of data privacy and compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR. Working experience with healthcare data formats like DICOM, FHIR, HL7. Understanding of Data Engineering tools/frameworks and experience in building scalable data pipelines. Understanding of integrating AI/ML workloads into data platforms, ensuring secure and governed data pipelines for model training and inference. Experience with databases (Relational and NoSQL). Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, KMS Development experience in defining, developing and maintaining REST/GraphQL based interfaces with secure authentication (OAuth2/JWT). Exposure to development in cloud environment (AWS/Azure). SECONDARY SKILLS: (GOOD TO HAVE) Exposure to micro-services architecture. Knowledge of Databricks platform and related concepts like delta tables, Unity Catalog, Lakeflow etc. Exposure to Kubernetes deployments. Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices. Qualifications And Education Requirements Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in CS/CE/IT from a premier technology institute. 4-6 years of relevant product development experience.
