BUSINESS UNIT

Enterprise Solutions is a key business unit at HRS, integrating multiple solutions through the interchange of information from various business processes and related databases. It forms the backbone of our daily operations, enabling efficient workflows and supporting critical business functions. 

Within Enterprise Solutions, the Customer Analytics & Product team combines technology, data, and engineering to bring customers closer to the HRS platform. The team focuses on building data-driven capabilities, delivering personalized experiences, and creating measurable business impact across B2B enterprise solutions and B2C consumer platforms. 

You will be a core contributor to our Recommendation Engine—a strategic system that powers personalized hotel and amenity suggestions for corporate travelers in real time, across the full booking journey.

POSITION

We are seeking a Backend Engineer (Mid to Senior) passionate about building world-class SaaS solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain the core recommendation engine that drives personalized, real-time experiences for corporate travelers and meeting planners. 

Working closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and Cloud Engineers, you will help evolve our recommendation capabilities from rule-based filtering to AI-powered, real-time personalization—at enterprise scale. 

CHALLENGE

• Extend and maintain the recommendation engine: Add support for additional amenity filters, improve filtering logic, and ensure the system remains performant and reliable at scale. 
• Build real-time personalization: Design and implement systems to detect customer context in real time and serve dynamically personalized recommendations based on behavioral and transactional signals. 
• Develop scalable microservices on AWS: Architect and deploy cloud-native backend services leveraging the full AWS ecosystem (e.g. EKS, ElastiCache, Kinesis, SageMaker integrations). 
• Integrate with data and analytics layers: Collaborate with the data team to consume product usage, behavioral, and customer segmentation data to power smarter recommendations. 
• Drive quality through AI-assisted tooling: Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and automate unit, integration, and regression testing for high-quality, continuous delivery. 
• Ensure scalability, security, and resilience: Build systems that are modular, secure, and fault-tolerant—capable of serving global enterprise customers with high availability. 
  
  

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

• Solid to deep technical expertise in Java, with hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance backend applications. 
• Strong architectural mindset for designing modular, secure, and resilient springboot microservices in a cloud-native environment. 
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EKS, ElastiCache, Kinesis, SQS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch) including deployment (Terraform, Jenkins), monitoring, and cost optimization. 
• Experience building or contributing to recommendation systems, personalization engines, or real-time data processing pipelines. 
• Familiarity with event-based architectures and streaming data systems for real-time customer detection and response. 
• Experience with AI-driven solutions and using AI tools for development and testing acceleration. 
• Understanding of A/B testing frameworks and feature flagging to support iterative rollouts and experimentation. 
• Strong understanding of enterprise-grade security, compliance, and performance standards for global deployments. 
• A true product mindset: you think beyond code, focusing on user experience, business impact, and continuous improvement. 
• Fluent in English, written and spoken, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively in an international team.

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
