Job Summary The Software Engineer-2 role at Granicus is for developers growing their technical and software development skills developing products in a SaaS based environment. They take on challenging technical tasks and consistently make significant contributions to all areas of the Granicus product suite. Software Engineers are proficient in multiple different technologies and gain on-the-job experience applying their knowledge and experience in improving the design and quality of our products. They understand the deployment process and support our applications in all environments. As they gain expertise, they share their knowledge with the broader engineering team. As an SE-2, you will contribute to full-stack development projects across multiple products. You will work on applications using Java/Spring Boot, React.js, Node.js, and AWS, while gaining exposure to Python for AI and automation workflows. This role is ideal for candidates eager to learn, collaborate, and grow their technical expertise in modern technologies and agentic applications. What Your Impact Will Look Like Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and Node.js. Contribute to backend services and APIs ensuring performance and scalability. Implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React.js and modern UI frameworks. Work with AWS services for application deployment, scaling, and monitoring. Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and performance optimization. Collaborate with team members in agile environments to deliver high-quality solutions. Gain exposure to Python for AI/agent integrations and automation workflows. You Will Love This Job If You Have 2?4 years of software development experience with strong full-stack expertise. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development. Experience in frontend development using React.js, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks. Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.). Experience using AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor). Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies. Experience with Python and basic understanding of agentic application concepts. Nice to Have Exposure to Node.js for backend or integration tasks. Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform. Interest in Python-based AI frameworks and agentic systems.
