The Opportunity We're looking for a Software Development Engineer - II who's excited about building scalable systems that power mobile commerce experiences for thousands of brands. You'll work closely with senior engineers to develop core platform features, contribute to our microservices architecture, and help build the infrastructure that enables e-commerce brands to create powerful mobile experiences. What You'll Build High-Performance Backend Services Develop multi-tenant backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot that serve millions of API requests daily Build features for push notification systems, community engagement, and mobile-optimized API endpoints Work on data processing pipelines for customer analytics and engagement Help implement personalization features that deliver tailored experiences to end-users Integration & API Development Build APIs that enable integrations with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce) Develop webhook handlers, data synchronization services, and third-party connector components Implement authentication, rate limiting, and security measures for platform and customer data protection Contribute to monitoring and analytics systems that track platform usage and performance What We're Looking For Core Engineering Expertise 3+ years of backend development experience with hands-on experience building web applications and APIs Java proficiency (JDK 11+ preferred, JDK 17+ is a plus) with Spring Boot framework experience Database experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and basic NoSQL knowledge (Redis/Firebase) API development experience building RESTful services and working with JSON/HTTP protocols Version control proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows API design experience with a focus on building clean, well-documented endpoints Basic containerization knowledge with Docker and interest in learning Kubernetes Testing practices, including unit testing and integration testing Debugging skills for troubleshooting issues in development and staging environments Modern Development Practices CI/CD awareness with experience or interest in automated testing and deployment pipelines Monitoring tools familiarity with logging, metrics, and observability concepts Security awareness, understanding of authentication, authorization, and basic security principles Code quality focus through code reviews, testing, and following engineering best practices Collaborative mindset for working effectively in cross-functional teams Platform & Integration Skills Third-party integration experience with REST APIs, webhook handling, and data synchronization Problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging and issue resolution Good To Have Specialized Experience E-Commerce Domain: Knowledge or experience with online retail, product catalogs, or shopping systems Mobile Backend: Understanding of mobile app requirements, push notifications, or offline sync Why Join Us?
