We?re looking for a Backend Engineer ? SDE 1 Snabbit is India?s first Quick-Service App delivering home services in just 10 minutes through a hyperlocal network of trained and verified professionals. We?re looking for a Backend Engineer (SDE 1) who?s excited to build high-performance systems, own meaningful pieces of our backend, and power the experience that makes Snabbit magically fast. What You?ll Do Your job is to build the systems that make Snabbit work - reliably, quickly, beautifully. You?ll take ideas and turn them into APIs, build services that scale, and help shape the architecture behind India?s next consumer internet rocketship. Build the backbone ? Develop clean, secure, and modular backend services that power Snabbit?s core product flows. Your code will run at scale - and run fast. Make things reliable ? Design with performance and fault-tolerance in mind. Ensure every API and service you touch is stable enough for 10-minute delivery at city scale. Own what you ship ? Work on features from development to testing and deployment. Take responsibility for how your services behave in production. Learn from the best ? Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to make smart architectural decisions and grow into greater ownership. Solve real engineering problems ? Debug tricky issues across systems, databases, and services ? not just inside your code. Keep things observable ? Work with logs, dashboards, and alerts to keep your services healthy and fast. What We?re Looking For A builder?s curiosity: you love understanding how systems fit together and enjoy building things that scale. A solid engineering foundation: good command of Go / Java / Python or similar backend languages, plus a grasp of data structures and basic system design. Hands-on exposure to cloud & infra: familiarity with AWS/GCP, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker/Kubernetes. Comfort with speed and ambiguity: you thrive when things move fast and you get to learn by doing.
