Job Description The position requires the engineer to work on qualification of Networking devices, fabric, protocols with a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills to support the automation of test plans. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include evaluation and test of highly scaled up network infrastructure. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in testing and automation of Networking devices at system level Mandatory expertise with traffic generator like IXIA or similar Network Test equipment. Fluency in BGP, MPLS, VxLAN, EVPN OSPF, QoS Networking device hardware Experience in RDMA, RoCE, Infiniband is preferable Experience with Python or other object-oriented programming language Experience with optical transceiver (100G, 400G, 800G), EEPROM, DOM and Optical cables Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities. Bachelor?s or master?s degree in computer science, Electronics/Hardware Engineering or related field Preference will be given for candidates with certifications like CCNA, CCNP, etc. Responsibilities Design and develop Comprehensive test plans and test cases based on networking protocols, production network configuration and scale use case Perform functional, scalability, performance, interoperability, regression, and security testing of network devices such as routers. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Configure, deploy, and manage test environments using lab setups for scale validations required for system validation. Have strong Troubleshooting experience and analyze test results, identify root causes of failures Record detailed test results, create test reports, and maintain clear documentation throughout the test lifecycle. Collaborate with Network vendors, designers to resolve issues Mentor junior engineers.
