Software Automation Engineer

Role Description: Software Automation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role. In this role, with the help of Ai and your automation scripting knowledge, you have to design, develop, deploy, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate software quality across multiple projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include working with senior leadership to create and execute automation coding, deploy and analyze test cases, identify defects, and collaborating closely with product owners and QA teams to enhance reliability and performance. The engineer will help integrate automation into overall business process, CI/CD pipelines, deployment process, optimize testing processes, and contribute to documentation and best practices. This position also involves continuous improvement of tools and methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables in line with client requirements.

Qualifications

• You should have a coding background and use of the latest AI tools for coding and development
• You should be efficient with setting up environments and project structures on servers
• You should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with experience in test planning and execution.
• You should possess skills in writing and managing Code, architecture plans, Test Cases, including test design, documentation, and traceability.
• You should possess Software Development skills relevant to building and maintaining automation, frameworks and scripts.
• You should possess Automation skills, including working with server side automations, test automation tools, frameworks, and CI/CD integration.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript, PHP, ASP.Net) and version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on reproducible, reliable results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in domains such as BFSI, Healthcare, or Energy is an advantage.
