About the Role

upGrad Study Abroad is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Social Media & Video Content Specialist to strengthen our digital presence and drive engagement through high-quality video content. This role requires a hands-on professional who understands content as a growth engine and can independently manage the complete content lifecycle — from concept to execution and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills, deep platform understanding, and a confident on-camera presence, with proven experience creating both short-form and long-form video content.

Key Responsibilities

Video Content Creation & Management

• Conceptualize, script, produce, edit, and publish engaging video content
• Lead creation of short-form videos on:
• Instagram Reels
• YouTube Shorts
• Develop and manage long-form video content for YouTube, including educational and informational videos related to study abroad programs, admissions processes, and global education trends

Content Strategy & Execution

• Translate complex study-abroad topics into clear, engaging, and high-retention content
• Leverage current trends and platform best practices to maximize reach and engagement
• Ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity across all video formats

On-Camera & Brand Representation

• Confidently present on camera when required
• Act as a credible content representative for the brand across digital platforms

Performance Analysis & Optimization

• Track content performance metrics including views, engagement, retention, and conversions
• Use data insights to continuously improve content effectiveness and audience growth

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in social media and video content creation
• Demonstrated expertise in producing content for:
• Instagram Reels
• YouTube Shorts
• YouTube long-form videos
• Strong scripting, storytelling, and communication skills
• Proficiency in video editing tools and content production workflows
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in EdTech, education, or study-abroad related industries
• Strong understanding of youth-centric content and social media trends
