Social Media Executive - Cricket

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate cricket enthusiast to join our team as a Social Media Manager. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of all formats and genders of cricket, a keen eye for detail, and the creativity to produce engaging content for a global audience. You will be responsible for generating innovative ideas, writing compelling articles and features, and creating dynamic social media posts to capture the excitement of cricket worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute creative and engaging social media content ideas for various platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).

• Write high-quality articles, features, and blog posts about cricket, ensuring they are informative, entertaining, and engaging for a global audience.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest cricket matches, news, trends, and events across all formats and genders.

• Ideate and produce content quickly and efficiently, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

• Use basic phone photography and videography skills to capture and edit content for social media.

• Monitor social media trends, analytics, and best practices to optimize content performance.

• Engage with the cricket community across various social media platforms to foster a strong connection with cricket fans globally.

Requirements:

• A deep passion for and knowledge of global cricket, including men’s, women’s, and all formats (T20, ODI, Test).

• Exceptional writing skills with a strong command of the English language.

• Creative, witty, and possess the ability to generate original and engaging content ideas.

• Basic skills in shooting and editing content on a smartphone.

• Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to changing situations.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to cover international cricket events.

• Min 3 years of previous experience in sports writing, journalism, or social media content creation and platform management is a must.

• Basic Photoshop & premier Pro skills are also an advantage.
