Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Executive role based at the C V Raman Academy campus in Coimbatore. The Social Media Executive will manage and grow the academy’s presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant channels by creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content. Daily responsibilities include planning social media campaigns, coordinating with faculty and administrative staff to gather updates, writing posts and captions, optimizing content for reach and engagement, and monitoring comments and messages to support timely responses. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing basic reports on campaign effectiveness, and suggesting improvements aligned with the academy’s mission and brand guidelines. Collaboration with marketing and academic teams to ensure consistent messaging and promotion of programs, achievements, and events is an integral part of this position.

Qualifications

  • Strong Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills, with experience managing brand pages or educational institution profiles.
  • Ability to plan and execute Media Planning activities, including scheduling posts, campaigns, and promotions across multiple platforms.
  • Effective Communication and Writing skills for crafting clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content, captions, and updates.
  • Familiarity with basic analytics tools (e.g., platform insights) and an understanding of engagement, reach, and follower growth metrics.
  • Proficiency with common social media and design tools (e.g., Canva or similar) for creating simple creatives, banners, and stories.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced academic environment.
  • Comfort collaborating with faculty, students, and administrative teams while maintaining a professional, inclusive, and student-centric approach.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field; prior experience in education-focused social media or content roles is an advantage.
