Job Title: ServiceNow Developer / Platform Engineer Location: [Hybrid] Experience: 7+ Years Employment Type: Full-time About The Role We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with Platform Engineering expertise to design, build, and enhance enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong development skills, hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules, and a deep understanding of platform engineering concepts to ensure scalability, automation, and seamless integrations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and customize applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. Implement solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or GRC. Develop and maintain catalog items, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations. Collaborate with platform engineering teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and automation of ServiceNow applications. Work on integration of ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and MID Servers. Build and maintain custom applications on ServiceNow App Engine. Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, and support QA and UAT activities. Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation for ServiceNow development and deployments. Stay up to date with ServiceNow releases and recommend adoption of new features. Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of experience in IT with strong focus on ServiceNow development and platform engineering. Proven experience in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), workflows, and integrations. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data model, ACLs, and security. Hands-on experience in ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or others). Proficiency with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and integrations. Experience with platform engineering concepts: automation, cloud (Azure/AWS), CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerization. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and ITIL processes. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in cross-functional teams. Good to Have ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and advanced certifications (CAD, CIS in ITSM/ITOM/HRSD). Exposure to ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, or Orchestration. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring tools. Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions. Education Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
