Smart card Test Engineer - Java Card & Global Platform

Job Description

Job Description: This is a technical role with the primary responsibility of Software Development for Test of Java Card OS (JC APIs & GP) for the Payment applications and electronic ID applications based on GP platform and Java Card Specifications. Strong technical knowledge of global platform and Java card APIs with the ability to interact with various stakeholders across the organization and the team members is required for success in this position. Areas of Responsibility Shall be responsible for understanding all relevant technical specifications to define test scenarios Shall be responsible for developing test suites and reusable libraries for Java Card and Global Platform compliance Shall be responsible for test design, development and automation. Shall be responsible for failure analysis and reporting. Review of the generated system level verification reports Continuously build knowhow and share with the team members Work closely with Product Owners to understand the functional & non- functional requirements of smart card features Shall assist the manager in effort estimation and technical risk identification On time quality delivery Product post release defects Customer Satisfaction Quality Audits Feedback from team members Position Description (Part II) Interfaces: Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Team, CE, AE Experience: 2-6 years of experience in qualifying smartcard products and systems with exposure to the entire SDLC Should have strong written and verbal communication skills Shall be responsible for design, development of tests based on the requirements and specifications/Standards Shall be responsible for failure analysis and identifying bugs. Prepare the Validation reports Ownership in reviews ? test code, design, validation plans / reports etc., Ability to understand and manage requirement Excellent problem solving and test case design skills. Good expertise in C# or Java language Knowledge of source control tools like Gerrit, Git, Bitbucket Nice to have knowledge: Knowledge in Java card programming is an added advantage Knowledge in Python scripting is an added advantage Knowledge in standards like 7816/14443/Global Platform/Java Card is an added advantage Understanding of the technical specifications related to smartcard OS and its applications. (Ex: ePassport, & Payment applications) Basic knowledge on EMV specifications, Mastercard, Discover specifications. Basic knowledge on VISA, Amex specifications is an added advantage. Knowledge about Agile SCRUM development environment Education: Bachelors/master?s degree in engineering ? Electronics or computer science
