About R ole: The Opportunity: Site Reliability Engineer (S RE-1)Have you spent the last couple of years honing your skills in cloud environments, scripting, and understanding how software runs in the real world? Are you eager to apply that experience to a platform operating at massive scale, tackling exciting reliability challenges, and accelerating your growth trajec tory?As an SRE-1 at MoEngage, you'll step into a role where your existing cloud knowledge, scripting abilities, and understanding of system fundamentals are immediately valuable. You'll work alongside experienced SREs, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our critical infrastructure. This is a prime opportunity to deepen your expertise in areas like Kubernetes, advanced monitoring, automation, and cloud security, all while directly impacting the reliability of a platform used by leading brands world wide. Roles and Responsibil ities:Guard Production Sy stems: Actively contribute to monitoring, measuring, and maintaining the availability, latency, and overall health of live services. Your vigilance keeps our platform running smo othly.Automate for I mpact: Utilize your scripting sk ills (Python or shell) to automate operational tasks, reduce manual effort, and contribute to our "automate anything" philo sophy.Dive into Cloud Infrastru cture: Apply your experience with AWS and/ or GCP to understand, manage, and optimize cloud resources supporting our pla tform.Work with Kuber netes: Get hands-on with our Kubernetes clusters, participating in deployment, management, and troubleshooting activ ities.Enhance Observab ility: Help implement and refine monitoring and alerting solutions (VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana) to gain deeper insights and improve our ability to detect issues proact ively.Contribute to Reliability Initia tives: Participate in discussions and contribute to the implementation of reliability improvements, working closely with development teams.Learn Incident Res ponse: Actively participate in the incident response lifecycle, learning how to diagnose, mitigate, and prevent future issues in a high-pressure enviro nment.Strengthen Sec urity: Contribute to implementing and maintaining security best practices at the infrastructure level.Analyze and Opt imize: Assist in analyzing infrastructure performance and cost, identifying potential areas for optimiz ation. Requir ements:1-3 years of hands-on exp erience in cloud operations, systems administration, DevOps, or a similar role with exposure to production enviro nments.Solid scripting skills in Python/Go o r shell ? you're comfortable writing scripts to automate tasks.Practical experienc e with AWS and/or Azure cloud pl a tforms.Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.Experience or strong understanding of container concepts (Docker) and orchestration (Kuber netes).Exposure to monitoring and alerting tools.Good understanding of networking co ncepts.A strong desire to learn and grow in the SRE domain.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues.Good communication and collaboration skills ? you work well with oth ers.
