Your Role And Responsibilities As an Entry-Level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at OneIT , IBM Systems you will get an opportunity to work on the projects that are focused on transforming the way we perform IT operations with the help of automation, observability and other key SRE practices. As An SRE At OneIT You will be focused on development of automation Supporting site-related reliability initiatives such as automation, monitoring, performance tuning, and system optimization. You would work with SMEs to implement the Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) to improve service reliability Participating in incident response, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis You will monitor health of IT services and help to remediate the incidents You will work on integrating tools to automate workflows Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between physical systems and application environments. Contributing to the deployment, scaling, and ongoing maintenance of production and test systems. You get to work with a vibrant, culture driven and technically accomplished teams working to offer world-class IT services and deployment environments, delivering IT platforms to IBMers to improve the efficiency & productivity You will be valued for your contributions in a growing organization with broader opportunities Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree Required Technical And Professional Expertise Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or other relevant fields 2+ years of experience with IT automation using scripting (Shell or Python) & tools such as Ansible Basic understanding of Linux OS administration Good communication skills to work effectively in a global team environment Growth mindset to stay focused & collaborate with teams to create value Passion for eliminating repetitive manual processes using automation. Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and debugging skills. Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Knowledge of any container platform such as Red Hat Container Platform Knowledge of any observability/IT infrastructure monitoring tools Knowledge of any automation platform such as Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Familiar with site reliability engineering practices Fundamental knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes is a plus
